This is pretty interesting, Johns Hopkins University has this interactive global COVID graph map thingy.

(i couldn't type the body of this comment until i hit preview)

there's been some criticism because the dots' relative sizes are misleading. for instance, they make the states as a whole look overrun, but in reality there are lots of big areas that aren’t yet hard hit. i... don’t really buy that. maybe if people aren’t zooming in? they just check in and panic because the whole world looks red? (i couldn't make the link thing work. the display sorta glitched)

i've been checking in with this dashboard, too. i dunno why, i just like the layout.
